Scholarship - Careers in Construction
The ESS Foundation exists to promote careers in construction; provide career opportunities through education, mentorship, and training programs; and benefit community development projects throughout our region.
ESS Foundation Scholarship — $1,500.00
Justin Gay Memorial Scholarship — $3,000.00
Eligibility
Applicant is applying for/currently attending college, graduate school, or a skilled trade school (vocational or technical). Trade school students must be pursuing a program requiring one academic year or more for certification. An applicant could also be involved in a community and/or industry craft training program.Applicant is pursuing a career in the construction industry. Eligibility is not limited to students pursuing technical degrees. The foundation retains the right to determine if a major or program in which the student is enrolled meets this eligibility requirement.

RISE UP Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing prevention education to youth on sexual violence, grooming, healthy relationships, and related topics.
RISE UP Foundation offers the Virginia Douglas Memorial Scholarship, which provides financial support to students pursuing degrees in counseling, social work, or other related victim-centered fields.

First Generation Scholarship
During the 2019-2020 academic year, over 25% of all undergraduate students in the U.S. were first-generation college students. For many, being the first to navigate college can feel overwhelming — not only because of rigorous academics, but also due to a lack of family guidance regarding applications, campus life, and managing educational costs.
Luckily, scholarships created specifically for first-generation students can lessen this burden. In addition to financial support, many awards also offer mentorship, peer networks, and other resources to help students excel academically and adjust to college life.

2027 Military Child of the Year Award
Now in its 19th year, Operation Homefront's Military Child of the Year Award reflects the positive impact that these impressive young people have made on their military families, their schools, and their communities.
The annual awards recognize outstanding young people ages 13 to 18. Recipients will represent a branch of the armed forces — the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Space Force — for their scholarship, volunteerism, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and other criteria while facing the challenges of military family life.
Children are entered by nominations. Anyone that knows a military child can nominate any military child. So, you may nominate your students, friend’s children, children can nominate their siblings and best friends and so on. The awards are open to Active Duty, reserves, Gold Star, National Guard, AND retired military children. The program is entirely FREE and exclusive to military children, and you do not need to create an account to submit a nominatio
All Operation Homefront Military Child of the Year Award recipients will be flown with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C., and recognized at the April 2027 gala, during which senior leaders of each branch of service will present the awards. They also will receive $10,000 each, a laptop computer, and other donated gifts. The gala is usually held in April, the month of the military child, as a way to recognize the support and appreciation we provide to military families.
